Recording Update

This album has been a particular challenge. The hardest thing for me is starting the music itself. It usually takes on a life of its own and completes itself. That being said, this album has over 10 'real' songs ... much more than I've ever done in a year. I've gone through 2 and a half writer's blocks - and I've decided that it's not worth forcing. So two tracks are getting cut.

Right now I'm in the 'Editing 1' stage. The self-imposed rules of this album are:

01. All music needs to be in the style of 1980s/1990s console video game music.
02. Every track needs to be able to stand alone.
03. Every track needs to flow smoothly into the next album.
04. Every track should be able to repeat and sound cohesive.

Now that all of the writing is done ... it's time to make sure all of these end point edits are able to happen.

I've started to feel inspired again ... so it looks like we're going to try this one again. I bring you "Zombies Ate My Hamburger" (again). Officially started (again) on 2/8/08 ... timeframe: yeeeeeah. Everyone get geared up ... because the zombies are coming!
